Okay, okay... so Monday's come and gone.
In my own defence, I had actually meant NEXT Monday. So I'm going to do something frightfully out of character and reveal my news early.
Okay, honestly? I just wanted you all to hold your breaths long enough so that you could get permanent brain damage, because no one in their RIGHT minds will read this blog, and I really want readers.
And now for the news...

I have MOVED!
Not, alas, to another exotic country again. I've just hauled myself and my collection of How-to books and my A-Z Time/Life Medical Encyclopaedia a mere four hours away from the town of By George! where I had been living with my mom since about a year ago.
So where am I now?
I'm back here. Conveniently located in the heart of the South African wineland.
(But that had nothing to do with my decision to move here, honestly!)
(Okay, so maybe just a leeeeeeetle bit.)
What's different from the last time I lived here (remember? I was a 'house guest' at my sister and brother-in-law's for about... oh, eight months or so last year. Was NO ONE paying attention when I left for the United States for a year and ended up staying NINE YEARS?) is that now, I have my very own place.
Well, 'room' would actually be more accurate.
But I'm finally living on my own and paying rent like an adult. And paying rent? Actually very overrated (Look! A pun!). I would recommend all young people to try and avoid it for as long as possible... or until the homeless shelter/yo mama/yo sista/yo brutha/yo any other relatives/friends kick your behind out onto the street.
Seriously though, today several things have happened. Good things. Things that make me think that this move might just have been a good one for me after all.
I feel as if my real life is about to begin...
Yeah, yeah, I know I'm 32 years late, but YOU should know by now that I've always been a bit slow on the uptake.
